Our story begins in the heart of California. Bo, our co-founder, grew up in Los Angeles with a deep love for American comfort food — the kind of food that fills a house with warmth and brings people together around the table. But it was the arrival of our daughter Vanessa that turned that love into something much bigger.
What started as weekend cooking sessions quickly became a family obsession. Vanessa wanted to try every recipe she could find, and together we turned our kitchen into a lively hub of food, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Friends and family couldn’t stop coming back for more. The idea of opening a restaurant stopped feeling like a dream and started feeling like a plan.
When the world slowed during COVID, we made our decision. We packed up our life in California and moved back to Thailand — Nok’s home country — bringing with us not just our recipes, but the spirit of togetherness that food had given us. We chose Phuket Old Town deliberately. For Nok, this place carries deep personal meaning. Her late mother was a beloved figure in the community, known for decades of charity work and quiet generosity. Opening a cafe here feels like planting new roots in her honor, in a neighborhood that shaped who Nok is.
At Cafe Delight, we do not just serve food. We serve meals that remind you of home — made from scratch, cooked with care, and plated with pride. From our hearty breakfast dishes to our homemade New York Cheesecake, everything that comes out of our kitchen has been made the way we would make it for family. Because that is exactly how we see every guest who walks through our doors.

We take coffee seriously. Our hot cappuccino and cafe latte are perennial favorites, and our cold coffee menu is just as strong. The Es-Yen Thai Iced Coffee — double ristretto with sweet condensed milk — is a must-try, and the CocoCloud Delight, made with espresso, coconut juice, and sweet cream, is a signature drink unique to Cafe Delight.
